Dear Illusionfxnet Customers,

I am writing you this letter today because Illusionfxnet will be closing its doors effective immediately.

When Illusionfxnet was founded in 2002, it was intended to be a free host. I was 13 years old at the time. This was before Google AdSense was inflated, and the revenues came flowing in. Being the entrepreneur that I am, I wanted to move on to better things.

This led to Plan Revolution and the current plans that are available today. In hindsight, Plan Revolution is single handedly the plan that killed this company. I had intended on making it a high volume, low cost solution that will make hundreds, hopefully thousands of people happy. This was until it wreaked havoc on several servers that Illusionfxnet went through. That was until we reached the current server. However, the server costs a whopping $300/month. I believe that IFX is lucky to pull in $300 in 3 months. For roughly the past year, I have been financing Illusionfxnet mostly on my own. I am now going to college and this is a financial strain that cannot continue.

The reason that IFX failed was due to my various commitments that I had to partake in. This has been much to the chagrin of most of the customers that I have hosted over the years. While I was in high school, I was a 2 sport athlete, held 2 jobs, and also somehow found time to do what most teenagers do. This left little time for the obligations that IFX requires. I deeply regret causing inconvenience to anyone.

I have not ruled out hosting in the future, but it most likely will not come any time soon. Brightverse has been put on the back burner. If any of you would like to come back in the future, I will be glad to credit you service for a considerable period of time.

I did send this email to all customers who had set a email address in cPanel. However, it seems as if there are several people who did not do this. Unfortunately, the server has been disconnected so data cannot be accessed. As for domains to be transferred, please email me at hosting@illusionfxnet.com and I will create an authorization key for you to transfer the domain to a different company.

Once again, I can't apologize enough for the inconvenience this may have caused you. I hope you have a smooth transition to a more reliable hosting company.

Sincerely,

Evan W.
